Magnetic strip = magnetic tape?

There is no common consensus because the term 'magnetic strip' is used differently depending on the supplier. Some online shops use 'magnetic tape' and 'magnetic strip' interchangeably, as do we here at supermagnete. Other retailers understand magnetic strips to be magnetic labels. Regardless of which product the term 'magnetic strip' is used for, you will definitely find what you are looking for here in our shop.

Our magnetic strips come in many different colours and sizes. They can be written or printed on (digital printing or screen printing). And, we also carry self-adhesive magnetic stripsin our online shop.

Where are magnetic tapes used?

Magnetic tapes are versatile accessories for everyday use. In our shop, you will find these magnetic tapes in 1 m rolls of different colours and six different widths. The coloured side of the magnetic tape is made of PVC and the reverse side is magnetic. There are many possible uses for magnetic tape such as customisable labelling, identification or attachment solutions.

Using magnetic tapes for custom shelf labels

Because these magnetic tapes can be cut to size, they are great for the labelling of steel shelves in the office, warehouse or the pantry at home. Cut a piece of magnetic tape in the desired length from the roll and attach it to the ferromagnetic surface of the shelf. If the contents or storage location change, the magnetic tape can be quickly changed too. Using coloured magnetic tape for identification

The bright colours of the magnetic tapes in our assortment provide a good signalling effect. They are, for example, perfect for identifying colour groups at storage locations. The colours of the magnetic tapes can be seen from a distance and provide visual cues regarding the storage location. And, of course, you can also write on the magnetic strips.

Nowadays, many backpacks, beach bags and handbags have a magnetic closure. It can be opened quickly and almost closes just as quickly on its own due to the adhesive force of the magnets. Do you want to sew one of these bags yourself or replace an existing bag closure? Coloured magnetic tape is a perfect choice for this purpose. Please keep in mind that our magnetic tapes have a low adhesive force. If you want to sew the magnets into the fabric so they are invisible, we recommend our sew-in neodymium magnets.

What used to be done with adhesive tape in the past, is now done with magnetic tape. You too have probably hung photos and postcards by sticking adhesive tape to their corners. And when it was time to take them down, adhesive residue often remained. Now, thin magnetic tape reliably takes over.
